GM Brands Witness Positive Growth for Nine Consecutive Months

Reinforced by some of their new models like the Silverado HD, General Motors have seen an increase in 11 per cent for March. Although the majority of these sales figure, almost 27 per cent, comprised of fleet sales, the company has noted that this will be the ninth consecutive month, that the sales to fleet are less than 30 per cent of their total sales.
This has been viewed by many to be a key indicator that the desirability of vehicles to customers and purchase incentives has declined on a basis of per unit, monthly compared to that of February. The 2011 first quarter, total sales showed an increase of 26 per cent, selling 592,545 units, while the retail sales showed an increase of 38 per cent.
