Toyota Tacoma – Toyota’s Pickup trucks for the American Consumer Market

The Toyota Tacoma is a series of pick up trucks which are manufactured and produced by the Toyota Motor Corporation from the year 1995. This truck was so popular that it won the Truck of the Year award in 2005 by Motor Trend magazine. The name for the truck is derived from the city of Tacoma in Washington DC, America.
The first generation Tacoma truck was released in 1995 and continued to the model year 2004. This Toyota was introduced to replace the Hilux pick up truck. These trucks are mid size pickup trucks which are meant for utility and are available at affordable rates. Its main priority was to deliver on comfort, better handling capacity as well as a better ride quality, safety and to have a greater payload capacity.
