GM Brands Witness Positive Growth for Nine Consecutive Months

Reinforced by some of their new models like the Silverado HD, General Motors have seen an increase in 11 per cent for March. Although the majority of these sales figure, almost 27 per cent, comprised of fleet sales, the company has noted that this will be the ninth consecutive month, that the sales to fleet are less than 30 per cent of their total sales. This has been viewed by many to be a key indicator that the desirability of vehicles to customers and purchase incentives has declined on a basis of per unit, monthly compared to that of February. The 2011 first quarter, total sales showed an increase of 26 per cent, selling 592,545 units, while the retail sales showed an increase of 38 per cent. Talbert Manufacturing will be exhibiting two of their newest custom trailers at this year's Mid-America Trucking Show. These trailer models are the Double Drop 35-Ton HRG trailer and the Beam Deck 55-Ton RA trailer. According to Talbert Manufacturings' VP of marketing and sales, Greg Smith, these trailers have resulted from customized and specific design features so as to meet the exacting specifications of their customers, and also have upgraded engineering initiatives which deliver better longevity, ease of use, flexibility and capacity. Ford Reports Rise in Sales of F-150 SVT Raptor Trucks

Ford's SVT Raptor pick up truck of its F-150 series has witnessed an increase in its model sales this year. January was reportedly the best month for the vehicle, according to the manager of consumer marketing of Ford F-150, Mark Lapine, during its new 2011 version Super Crew cab's press introduction in Michigan. According to Marc Lapine, the sold more than 900 Raptor model pick up trucks in January alone. By the month of February was over, the company had added more sales of 740 Raptor pick up trucks to its list. From this years model year versions of both the Super Cab and Super Crew trucks, Ford sold around 1,072 models of the Raptor. The Dodge's new 2011 Dura 2011 dodge durango suvngo R/T is an SUV model; the main aim behind building it was to turn a truck to a sports vehicle. The Chrysler design chief and Dodge CEO, Ralph Gilles, said that the R/T was added to Durango's lineup just last summer ending. The R/T model is available in a HEMI 5.7 liter engine which is capable of a 360 horsepower. There is however an option between the rear drive and an all wheel drive for you. This new R/T model can easily be distinguished from the other Durango models because of its black grille and body colored surround, new rear and front fascias, surrounds of black headlamps and 20 inch unique alloy wheels. The Volvo Co. has recently made available a new fifth wheel option that will be directly installed into the frame of its trailer trucks, rather than onto it. The design is a lighter and smaller design which will help to improve the quality of the drive when it weighs around 100 pounds which is less than the current fifth wheels standard duty wheels as well as help improve the ride. The Volvo Truck Co. worked with the Fontaine Fifth Wheel on this new system where it developed a lower new assembly which will help support both the frame of the truck as well as the fifth wheel. The Wabash National Corp. recently announced their end of the year financial results on Wednesday. At the press conference that was held, the Co. reported that they have had a sequential and year over year improvement across the operating as well as financial metrics. They reported a $5.7 million of operating income for the 2010 year's fourth quarter. This is compared to the $11.9 million operating loss which was incurred in 2009's fourth quarter. For the past twelve months which ended December 31, Wabash Corp. reported a $15.4 million and a $66.1 million operating loss for the years 2010 as well as 2009 respectively. The Tri-State Kenworth, a Kenworth Trucks dealer has recently opened a new and full service dealership in the state of Connecticut which will provide consumers of Kenworth trucks an easy access from the U.S. Interstate 95 highway.
